Building Peaceful and Resilient Communities — Day 2
Continuing our commitment to empower communities and restore livelihoods under the Nigeria SPRiNG Programme, #GoGreen successfully held the second batch of the Income Diversification Training on October 9, 2025, at the Centre for Food Technology and Research (CEFTER), Benue State University, Makurdi.
This session brought together youths, women, and persons with disabilities from Ugbugh and Imande-Dem communities—areas that, like many others in Benue State, have faced repeated conflicts that have disrupted livelihoods and weakened community resilience.
The training emphasized hands-on demonstrations, group collaboration, and peer learning, encouraging participants to design diversified, climate-smart livelihood strategies that promote long-term stability and self-reliance.
Participant testimonies reflected a renewed sense of hope and determination to apply their new skills toward rebuilding sustainable livelihoods in their communities.
This initiative—funded by the UK Government and supported by Tetra Tech International Development Services—continues to advance the SPRiNG Programme’s vision of promoting peace, inclusion, and economic resilience across conflict-affected communities in Benue State.
At #GoGreen, we remain deeply inspired by the courage of these communities. Each day of training reaffirms that peace grows where opportunity takes root, and every new skill learned is a step toward lasting stability and prosperity.
