GoGreen Engages Benue State Ministry of Women Affairs Ahead of 2025 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

As part of preparations for the 2025 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, the GoGreen team on 17th November 2025 paid an advocacy visit to the Benue State Ministry of Women Affairs.

The visit strengthened ongoing collaboration, reaffirmed shared commitments, and explored strategic partnership areas to ensure a powerful, community-driven GBV campaign scheduled for November 25 to December 10, 2025.

During the engagement, GoGreen and the Ministry discussed opportunities to:

  • Strengthen community-level GBV awareness and prevention efforts

  • Improve coordination with state structures supporting women, girls, and vulnerable groups

  • Enhance peacebuilding efforts through inclusive, survivor-centered advocacy

  • Expand GBV-responsive mechanisms in conflict-affected communities

Under the Nigeria SPRiNG Project, GoGreen continues to support community resilience, peace structures, and social cohesion. Addressing gender-based violence remains central to this mission, as GBV undermines safety, erodes trust, and fuels cycles of fear and instability—particularly in vulnerable and conflict-impacted communities.

Today’s meeting reaffirms a shared commitment: ending GBV is essential to building peaceful, equitable, and thriving communities across Benue State and beyond.
