Gogreen Launch of the AgroPastoral Integration for Peace and Sustainable Development (AIPASD) Project in Benue State

We are excited to announce the successful launch of the AgroPastoral Integration for Peace and Sustainable Development (AIPASD) Project in Benue State under the SPRiNG Program, supported by the UK in Nigeria through the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and in partnership with Tetra Tech International Development Services.

The project launch brought together key Benue State Government officials, including #Professor #Moses Ogbaji –#Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, #Hon Kunde Aondowase –#Commissioner for Humanitarian and Disaster Management, represented by Mrs Anne Mimidoo Kadev, the S.A. to the #Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, Bar. Omale Omale, the #Commissioner for Power, Renewable Energy and Transport, Mrs. #Josephine Habba -DG, Benue State Commission for #Peace and #Reconciliation, #Dr. Aondoakaa Asambe DG, Bureau of Livestock Development, Chief Joseph Terwase Har -Special Adviser to the Governor on Security and Internal Affairs, Leo-Angelo Usha Viashima -DG, Bureau for International Cooperation and Development, Mr. #China Peter Chairman, AFAN, Alhaji #Ibrahim Galma -Secretary, MACBAN, Civil Society Organizations, Benue State representatives, law enforcement, and other vital stakeholders.

The project aims to promote peaceful coexistence in communities, enhance agro-pastoral livelihoods, and strengthen climate resilience in Makurdi and Guma LGAs of Benue State. The launch of the AIPASD Project marks a strategic step in addressing the root causes of herder-farmer conflicts in Benue State. GoGreen remains committed to working with stakeholders to promote peace, sustainable development, and climate resilience.
Together, we’re working to turn conflict into collaboration and division into development.
