Strengthening Dry-Season Peacebuilding: GoGreen Convenes Community Peace Dialogue in Ortese

On January 13, 2026, GoGreen convened a Community Peace Dialogue Session in Ortese Community, reinforcing ongoing efforts to sustain peace and social cohesion in rural communities.

The dialogue focused on deepening community understanding of dry-season challenges, while creating an inclusive space for diverse perspectives on seasonal migration, resource pressure, and livelihood dynamics. Participants collectively examined how climate change and environmental stress intensify competition over land and water during the dry season, increasing the risk of conflict.

Through shared experiences, open dialogue, and collective reflection, community members identified common interests and practical entry points for peaceful coexistence, reaffirming dialogue as a critical tool for conflict prevention, trust-building, and social cohesion.

This engagement in Ortese Community underscores GoGreen’s commitment to locally driven, inclusive, and sustainable peacebuilding, demonstrating how meaningful conversations can transform shared challenges into opportunities for cooperation—one dialogue at a time.
