Strengthening Grassroots Peacebuilders for a Lasting Future
As part of the #SPRiNGProgramme sustainability plan, #GoGreen is investing in the heartbeat of peace—our local community peace actors. We believe that #Peace is #Local, and for it to be genuine, lasting, and resilient, the champions at the grassroots must lead the way.
Through a three-day intensive training workshop on Conflict-Sensitive Communication for Community Peace Dialogue Facilitators (CPDF), we promoted inclusive, participatory, and community-led peacebuilding. This is more than just training—it’s about equipping change-makers with the tools, skills, and confidence to own the peace process in their communities.
We brought together 120 committed participants from eight communities across Makurdi and Guma LGAs—areas that have faced the pains of communal tension, conflict, and displacement. Now, they stand ready to turn the tide.
This milestone in #GoGreen’s journey under the #SPRiNGProgramme is a bold step toward preventing conflict, restoring trust, and nurturing harmony in Benue State.
Every empowered facilitator is a seed of hope, ready to grow peace that is community-driven, sustainable, and unshakable. Together, we move closer to a future where peace is not just an ideal—but a lived reality for every home, every street, and every heart.
