GoGreen Strengthens Digital Safety and Data Protection Capacity to Protect Women and Human Rights Defenders in Benue State
At GoGreen, we continue to deepen our commitment to advancing human rights, gender equality, and sustainable development through strategic engagements and capacity-building initiatives.
Recently, we participated in a two-day workshop on Digital Safety and Data Protection, organized by Global Initiatives for Girls’ Right Education and Empowerment for Women Human Rights Defenders. The workshop was held at the conference hall of the Bureau for International Cooperation and Development in Makurdi, Benue State.
The training provided valuable insights into online safety practices, data protection strategies, and responsible navigation of digital spaces—particularly for organizations and individuals working to advance women’s rights, community development, and peacebuilding. Participants explored emerging cyber threats, practical risk mitigation approaches, and best practices for safeguarding sensitive information in increasingly digital work environments.
As a leading voice in promoting women’s rights, peacebuilding, environmental sustainability, and inclusive development, GoGreen remains committed to strengthening both institutional capacity and internal systems to better protect the communities we serve.
The knowledge gained from this workshop will enhance how we design and deliver programs, ensuring greater safety, trust, accountability, and impact across our interventions.
