GoGreen Celebrates Global Recognition of Benue Rural Women at UK State Visit with King Charles III
GoGreen is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of rural women supported under the Nigeria SPRiNG Programme in Daudu and other communities across Benue State, whose efforts were recently showcased during the state visit of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the United Kingdom.
During the visit, the impact of these grassroots initiatives was highlighted to His Majesty King Charles III, drawing international attention to the strength, resilience, and leadership of rural women driving sustainable development and community transformation in Nigeria.
This recognition underscores the powerful role women play in advancing peacebuilding, climate resilience, and inclusive development at the community level. From rebuilding livelihoods in conflict-affected areas to promoting social cohesion, these women continue to be catalysts for meaningful and lasting change.
We extend our sincere appreciation to UK in Nigeria and Tetra Tech International Development Services, with funding from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, for their continued support in empowering local communities across Benue State and beyond.
At GoGreen, we remain committed to amplifying grassroots voices and supporting initiatives that build resilient, inclusive, and thriving communities across Nigeria.
