GoGreen Gender Lead Receives Award of Excellence at Advocacy and Storytelling Workshop on Protection and Social Change

This week, GoGreen participated in a two-day workshop on Advocacy and Solidarity Messaging Through a Protection Lens: Leveraging Storytelling, held from May 25–26, 2026, and organized by Global Initiatives for Girls’ Rights Education and Empowerment (GIGREE Nigeria).

The workshop brought together advocates, civil society organizations, development practitioners, and community leaders to strengthen strategies for effective advocacy, protection-centered communication, and storytelling as powerful tools for driving social change and advancing human rights.

Representing GoGreen at the event was Elizabeth Elachi, GoGreen’s Gender Focal Lead, who actively contributed to discussions by sharing practical insights and experiences from the organization’s community-based interventions. Her contributions emphasized the importance of inclusive advocacy, community-driven storytelling, and solidarity-based approaches in addressing gender and protection-related challenges.

A major highlight of the workshop was the recognition of Elizabeth Elachi with an Award of Excellence for her outstanding participation, leadership, and valuable contributions throughout the training sessions. The award reflects her dedication to advancing gender equality and protection initiatives while also showcasing GoGreen’s broader commitment to empowering communities and amplifying marginalized voices.

This recognition reinforces GoGreen’s ongoing efforts to promote gender-responsive advocacy, strengthen community engagement, and leverage storytelling as a tool for awareness, empowerment, and sustainable social impact.

At GoGreen, we remain committed to building strategic partnerships and enhancing advocacy initiatives that promote protection, inclusion, empowerment, and positive transformation within communities.
