GoGreen Strengthens Digital Conflict Prevention Capacity at FCDO Workshop on Social Media Analysis in Abuja

Over the past week, GoGreen, alongside other partners implementing the Nigeria SPRiNG Programme, participated in an intensive 4-day workshop on social media analysis for peacebuilding and conflict prevention, with a strong focus on digital harm analysis.

The training, hosted by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) through its Conflict and Atrocity Prevention Department (CAPD), took place at the British Village, Abuja. It brought together implementing partners to deepen their understanding of how digital spaces influence conflict dynamics and peacebuilding efforts.

In today’s digital landscape, online narratives can shape real-world outcomes. This workshop significantly enhanced our capacity to monitor digital conversations, identify early warning signals, and respond effectively to harmful narratives that may escalate conflict.

The knowledge and tools gained represent a critical advancement in strengthening our work under the SPRiNG Programme, funded by the UK Government and implemented by Tetra Tech International Development Services. It positions GoGreen to adopt more proactive, data-driven approaches to conflict prevention, promote constructive dialogue, and support the development of resilient and peaceful communities.

At GoGreen, we remain committed to leveraging innovation and partnerships to address emerging conflict risks and build sustainable peace across communities.
