GoGreen Strengthens Peacebuilding Coordination and Social Cohesion Partnerships in Benue State

Strengthening Collaboration for Sustainable Peace in Benue State — July 23, 2026

On July 23, 2026, GoGreen joined key stakeholders and peacebuilding actors at the Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion Coordination Meeting convened by the Benue State Commission for Peace and Reconciliation.

The meeting provided an important platform for strengthening coordination, improving collaboration, sharing knowledge, and aligning collective efforts toward building a more peaceful, secure, and united Benue State.

Participants reflected on the importance of coordinated action among government institutions, civil society organisations, development partners, traditional leaders, community peace structures, and other actors working to prevent conflict and promote social cohesion.

At GoGreen, we believe that lasting peace is built through partnership, inclusive dialogue, local ownership, and sustained community engagement. As an organisation implementing peacebuilding, climate resilience, and social cohesion initiatives across Benue State, we remain committed to working closely with the Benue State Commission for Peace and Reconciliation, the Benue State Government, development partners, traditional institutions, and fellow peace actors.

No single organisation can build sustainable peace alone. Fragmented interventions can limit impact, while coordinated approaches allow stakeholders to reduce duplication, address gaps, share lessons, and direct resources where they are most needed.

By aligning our strategies and leveraging our collective strengths, we can reinforce local peace structures, strengthen early conflict prevention, promote peaceful coexistence, and build safer and more resilient communities for everyone.

Peace becomes stronger when institutions collaborate, communities take ownership, and every stakeholder contributes to a shared vision of stability and progress.
