The commitment of traditional leaders to mobilizing residents for regular peace dialogues, mediation, and collaborative problem-solving demonstrates a community that has fully embraced local ownership of the peacebuilding process.

Traditional institutions remain deeply trusted within many communities. When traditional leaders actively champion dialogue, encourage cooperation, and bring diverse groups together, communities become more united, resilient, and better equipped to identify and address tensions before they escalate into conflict.
