Climate-Smart Agriculture Begins with Knowledge

Today, GoGreen joined an important conversation on Agate Radio/TV 1 during the “No Be Plenty Tilling of Soil Na Him De Bring Plenty Yield” edition of the Farm Beta Radio Project, an initiative of the Women Environmental Programme.

Speaking alongside the Environment and Climate Change Amelioration Initiative (ECCAI), we discussed practical ways to improve agricultural productivity through smarter, more sustainable, and environmentally responsible farming practices.

A central message from the programme was clear: increasing food production is not simply about cultivating larger areas of land or repeatedly tilling the soil. Sustainable productivity depends on adopting climate-smart, knowledge-driven practices that improve soil health, conserve natural resources, reduce environmental degradation, and help farmers adapt to changing weather conditions.

The discussion highlighted the importance of equipping farmers with practical knowledge on responsible land preparation, soil conservation, climate adaptation, and efficient agricultural methods that can increase yields without compromising the environment.
